about earthtones creative retreats
Mission ~
Our mission is to connect as a collective of humans who wish to expand on their gifts and learn from other creative beings. We desire to come together, as we are, in community; to host and participate in each other's artistic and creative workshops and offerings. We create retreat-style and intentional containers to explore, without judgment or fear, how creativity and exploration can spark our imaginations, healing, fun, and play; a place where we are both the teachers and the students.
Most importantly, we are non-profitable, non-competitive, inclusive and open to anyone and everyone. We believe healing, art and community should be a more consistent and accessible norm. This is a communal & collaborative offering.
How does it work?
Interested participants will fill out the application & propose a workshop offering. Emails will be sent out to everyone who applies and is accepted, with a link to deposit your portion of expenses and secure your spot in the retreat. Spaces are always first come first serve. Your space is not confirmed until you deposit your payment. Money is only refundable if we find someone to replace your spot. Our retreats fill within 1 - 2 weeks of announcing and we primarily share about them through our email list. Subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to hear about upcoming retreat announcements.
What kind of accommodations do we stay in?
Earthtones generally rents out homes or hostel spaces & most participants share rooms or beds in order to keep the retreats lower cost & financially accessible. Our space is always private! Only you and other retreat participants will be present.
Who can join? Who can participate?
EVERYONE and ANYONE is welcome to apply. These retreats are targeted towards people who have a workshop or skill they desire to share with others. It does not matter if you are a master, a complete beginner, or have never given a workshop before. The idea is to have a space to grow your own craft, receive feedback on how to improve, and to learn from others. This is a creative container, we will all evolve and explore together. There are no hierarchies - we welcome people at all stages and all levels.
What type of workshops are welcome?
Anything creative. It can be a discussion, a writing workshop, painting, jewelry, singing, movement, meditation, dance, music, authentic relating games, there are no boundaries. Please keep in mind that you will have to provide all the materials needed for your workshop.
How often are these retreats?
We have been hosting annual Earthtones Art Retreats consecutively for 3 years, starting in 2023 and our most recent retreat occuring in 2025. We hope to expand our retreat offerings & frequency as our collective grows over time.
